    I recently checked out A Brasileira in London, and I just had to share my experience. The butcher and the owner go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They’re super friendly and really know their stuff. They explained all the different cuts of meat and gave great recommendations. The service is quick and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers.The food is the star of the show. I loved the fresh pastries and pastéis, made right in front of you. They were absolutely delicious and tasted just like the ones you’d find in Brazil. The meat I bought was out of this world – the best quality I’ve ever found in London.     Extremely poor service. I went to get some meat from the butcher, Tuesday mid-morning. I’m the only customer. I got up to the butcher and he doesn’t acknowledge me at all. After nearly a minute I cheerfully say ‘hello!’ And he doesn’t even flinch. I’m about to leave and he eventually turns around an loudly grunts in exasperation.I say ‘I’m looking for some beef for a stew’ he’s extremely grumpy throughout the whole interaction and judgemental about how much I need. Reluctant to tell me how much it will cost and at one point mutters under his breath something about slow Tuesdays. All I can think is, why is he taking it out on me? I’m here willing to make a purchase and he’s doing everything to put me off.I buy the beef mostly just to end the interaction and i really regret it. I spent more than I wanted to and I’m not really sure I’m happy with it. I would have liked to have had a conversation about what options there were- maybe something with more fat marble but that was clearly never going to happen.If the butcher ever reads this I would ask him to consider if he’s really happy there, and tell him it’s not too late to consider a change in career.

    The first time I went to this butchery it was excellent. Today, precisely on the day of King Charles's coronation, I had the bad experience of having breakfast. I was very poorly served and the person who served me has no ability to communicate with the public. Probably hasn't learned good manners, talks too loudly. the cheese bread was served to me on two napkins.
